Experience Cork’s First Radical Bookfair


You are welcome to join Cork’s first Radical Bookfair in 2026. The Bookfair will have a range of booksellers, independent radical press publishers and distributors, topical talks and workshops – and is aiming to celebrate radical activism and culture in a community gathering that inspires and connects.

Mark the date! On Saturday 18th April 2026, 11am-5pm, at Blackpool Community Centre, Cork City.

@akpressdistro is a worker-managed, independent publisher and book distributor that specializes in publishing books about anarchism and the radical left.

Rebel Books offers a wide stock of socialist, feminist and anti-imperialist titles. 

Road Books is an artist’s books publisher based in Inniscarra. The diversity of their work reflects the ever-expanding range of their books. Every force evolves a form. They work together, in collaboration with groups, and individually. The liberty to make books not-for-profit and according to the dictates of the moment, is their singular privilege

Síreacht: Longings for Another Ireland is a series of short, topical and provocative texts on controversial issues in contemporary Ireland. Associated with the phrase ceól sírechtach síde found in Irish medieval poetry, síreacht refers to yearnings such as those evoked by the music of the aos sí, the supernatural people of Irish mythology. We use this title to signify longings for and imaginings of a better world in the spirit of the World Social Forums that ‘another world is possible!

Rupture @rupture_media is an Ecosocialist, Feminist and Marxist Irish magazine and media project, produced by members of the RISE network, which is part of People Before Profit.

The community action tenants union @catucork is the only renters union in Ireland. It’s a union for tenants – like a trade union but for renters, mortgage holders, people in emergency accommodation and direct provision- people like you and me who are suffering in our current system.

We aim to unite tenants and communities to address housing issues and fight through collective action and community building for better living conditions

We will be attending the book fair with CATZ (community action tenants zine), union publications and other little bits and bobs!

Wellred Books @wellred_books is a revolutionary

Marxist publishing house. Founded in 2013, our focus is to republish classic works of Marxism as well as producing new titles, including the recent Ireland:

Republicanism and Revolution by Alan Woods.

Rebel County Book Company is a local secondhand booksellers that has been at it for over 20 years.

PM Press is an independent, radical publisher of books and media to educate, entertain, and inspire. @pmpress

The Industrial Workers of the World, or IWW, is a democratic union run by its members for the interests of the working class. @iwwireland

Cork Zine Fest (CZF) is a zine-maker festival that runs an annual market and engagement programme alongside a monthly Zine Club that offers open zine-making workshops to the general public. The organisation is overseen by artists and zine makers Annie Mar, Cass DuCharme, Elize de Beer and Justine Lepage. At the Radical Book Fair, Justine will be representing CZF with a selection of zines created by the team. @corkzinefest

Action Against War is a Cork based campaigning group which advocates for defense of neutrality in Ireland and opposes war and militarism. @action.against.war_
